About Me

My photo
I have spent a great deal of my life battling illness. I suffered from Crohn's Disease and eventually had abdominal surgery, thwarting the Crohn's and budding cancer cells. Since my surgery in 1995 I have been relatively free from Crohns', although I had several subsequent surgeries related to my ileostomy..When my disease was in remission, I don't think my husband realized how bad it could get, but he has stood by me. I also have suffered from various autoimmune disorders and am diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Disease. Fortunately, I am maintaining and do not need dialysis at this point. We adopted our son and later found out he had cerebral palsy, so he became my career. Dan has had two surgeries and tons of therapy and is able to walk because of it. He is a college graduate and is employed as an Information Specialist. We are very proud of his accomplishements. I am now part of the retired generation and still getting used to the idea. I do enjoy crafting, traveling and being with family and friends. I am active in my church and feel that the hardships we endure are there to build our faith. I like to live life in the "now" as we never know how much time is left.

I Went Shopping in My Sleep!

I went shopping in my sleep.  Actually, I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep, so I was looking online for sandals.  Now, I have very high arches and narrow feet, so I am looking for comfortable sandals.  Here are some choices:

So, what do you think?  The first two pair are from QVC so could send them back.  The second  pair is probably the most comfortable. The first pair look sexy on the foot, but I already have a sexy pair.  The other sandals are on Ebay,
so if they don't fit, what do I do?  Resell them?  What's your opinion?  Please let
me know!  I am thinking of all that touring and such that I will do in Mexico in
Winter.  Jim and I want to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary which was in
October.  I wish I could lose some weight without dieting or exercising!  LOL!
I am having fun planning my vacation, chubby or not.

1) don't you have sandals?
2) do you like sandals that just slip on? I thought you prefered the ones with a strap in the back.
3) whatever you do get........think of comfort first, if you are walking that is the most important, esp. with your foot/ankle problem.
Just my humble opinions.
