About Me

My photo
I have spent a great deal of my life battling illness. I suffered from Crohn's Disease and eventually had abdominal surgery, thwarting the Crohn's and budding cancer cells. Since my surgery in 1995 I have been relatively free from Crohns', although I had several subsequent surgeries related to my ileostomy..When my disease was in remission, I don't think my husband realized how bad it could get, but he has stood by me. I also have suffered from various autoimmune disorders and am diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Disease. Fortunately, I am maintaining and do not need dialysis at this point. We adopted our son and later found out he had cerebral palsy, so he became my career. Dan has had two surgeries and tons of therapy and is able to walk because of it. He is a college graduate and is employed as an Information Specialist. We are very proud of his accomplishements. I am now part of the retired generation and still getting used to the idea. I do enjoy crafting, traveling and being with family and friends. I am active in my church and feel that the hardships we endure are there to build our faith. I like to live life in the "now" as we never know how much time is left.

Morning Musing

I had written an email to my super telling her that our "talks" are so disheartening to me, that I wondered if she wanted me to quit.  I hinted at the fact that it can't go on like this.
Yesterday I noticed she was allot friendlier to me.  I even made a mistake and she didn't go ballistic!
Hopefully, things will improve.

The snow is melting!  It will be in the 40's this week.  That is Fahrenheit.  Yesterday as I drove home, a lady was power walking in the street and a a young girl was running on the other side.  It still has to be a bit warmer for me to take a stroll!

Everyone seems to be getting sick...sinus infections, gastric problems, etc.  I hope I don't get any of these ailments before or during my vacation.  My sister, who is going with me is suffering from some vertigo caused by an inner ear thing.  Hope she can fly!  Mom has reflux and a lack of appetite.

Sunday we will all go out to eat for Easter dinner after church, ailments or not.

Have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday!

Sometimes just letting someone know how their actions and words makes us feel is a step to improve a relationship.
Happy Easter to you!

Glad you took the issue to your supervisor. I think that will nip any "meanness" in the bud. Hope you don't get sick either. Vacay coming up soon!!!! xo Diana
