About Me

My photo
I have spent a great deal of my life battling illness. I suffered from Crohn's Disease and eventually had abdominal surgery, thwarting the Crohn's and budding cancer cells. Since my surgery in 1995 I have been relatively free from Crohns', although I had several subsequent surgeries related to my ileostomy..When my disease was in remission, I don't think my husband realized how bad it could get, but he has stood by me. I also have suffered from various autoimmune disorders and am diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Disease. Fortunately, I am maintaining and do not need dialysis at this point. We adopted our son and later found out he had cerebral palsy, so he became my career. Dan has had two surgeries and tons of therapy and is able to walk because of it. He is a college graduate and is employed as an Information Specialist. We are very proud of his accomplishements. I am now part of the retired generation and still getting used to the idea. I do enjoy crafting, traveling and being with family and friends. I am active in my church and feel that the hardships we endure are there to build our faith. I like to live life in the "now" as we never know how much time is left.

Time to Un-do.

Although my new nails looked pretty, I couldn't type!  I couldn't even pick up a paper clip!

So, I went to the salon and got them cut and polished.  How do you like them now?  I always choose a neutral color, a kind of beige although you can't tell by the picture.  Working in a clinic, I think that looks best....nothing too wild.

My swimsuits did not fit, didn't even cover my breasts and I am not a tall girl.  I wonder if they were made for Juniors?  Taking them back today.

Work has been going well.  We are always learning new ways to do things.  Keeps life interesting but feels like my  brain will explode!  My supervisor has let up a bit, but she still points out my mistakes.  Oh well....guess that's her job.

Went to the thrift store the other day.  Looked at sweaters but couldn't bear to try any on. I did end up buying a knit long sleeve tee that will look nice at work.

Won't Winter please go away and make room for Spring?  The daffodils are popping through the snow and cold.

Your nails look nice for work and ease of use. I hate trying on swimsuits. It just drives me nut! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. We got 3 more inches of fresh snow last night- ugh- xo Diana

Your nails look lovely. I never have nail polish on as I am too rough with my hands.

Have a good week and it's snowing here as well.
