About Me

My photo
I have spent a great deal of my life battling illness. I suffered from Crohn's Disease and eventually had abdominal surgery, thwarting the Crohn's and budding cancer cells. Since my surgery in 1995 I have been relatively free from Crohns', although I had several subsequent surgeries related to my ileostomy..When my disease was in remission, I don't think my husband realized how bad it could get, but he has stood by me. I also have suffered from various autoimmune disorders and am diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Disease. Fortunately, I am maintaining and do not need dialysis at this point. We adopted our son and later found out he had cerebral palsy, so he became my career. Dan has had two surgeries and tons of therapy and is able to walk because of it. He is a college graduate and is employed as an Information Specialist. We are very proud of his accomplishements. I am now part of the retired generation and still getting used to the idea. I do enjoy crafting, traveling and being with family and friends. I am active in my church and feel that the hardships we endure are there to build our faith. I like to live life in the "now" as we never know how much time is left.

Is it a Purse or a Bag?

Yesterday my plans were changed.  My bff and sister couldn't make it for lunch and a movie.
Both were too busy.  Oh well.  My bff and I had a rather lengthy phone conversation and compared our cable bills!  What discrepancy!  She ended up calling the cable company and got $100 shaved off of her bill.  I discovered we still had DVR (digital video recording).  I figured since we are paying for it, I would try it out.  However, couldn't find the cable remote or instructions.  I called the cable company and they walked me through it.  I can now record!  Woo hoo!  Big accomplishment!
With all that going on, I forgot all about Jazzercise!  (oops!)

Plan B:  Go visit Mom.  First I stopped at the thrift store.  This is why I try and stay away from thrift stores:  I have a gazillion purses, but this caught my eye and called my name.

It was so soft and is a golden brown color with a ton of compartments!  Love it to hold my medical supplies, camera, makeup, wallet, etc.

Since I had my camera out, I had to share this picture of my great-great nephew.

"Okay, I rolled over, now how do I get my toy?"

Good for you to be able to record now. Sounds like you made the best out of a day that didn't go like you planned.
What a cute little guy! xo Diana

Great find on the purse! I call the cable compamy every 6 months to see if I can lower my bill, often times I see them running a special for new customers and they will match it...Worth a try!
